You guys. Seriously. This is. Like. My new favorite thing in the world. Composing synthwave tunes while commuting though the lonely wasteland that is my life fills my heart and my Sennheisers with high quality tones that would make Philip Glass orgasm. A must have for any musician.

The app glitched up and I had to delete it Only to find out that all of my songs that I made were gone! I really need them back!

Wheres the undo button? Thats a very essential tool when creating a beat.

Basically the best music making environment you can use without dropping any real money. You have control over the tempo, the scale, and up to four instruments per layer, although being a mobile app, your options are limited. Still, apps like Propellorhead get btfo, Id buy it again in a second if they ported it to pc

I would recommend to anyone with a creative mind. Get this.

Beatwave is the best grid based music maker that Ive found on iTunes. The sounds really set this apart from the others. I really like the chip tune palette. Even though you can tune on note labeling it would be helpful to see black and white keys like on a piano roll editor. I wasnt able to scroll beyond two octaves so I couldnt easily recreate my songs. Also I wish there were a grouping of sounds by category. I would also like more song export option besides a ring tone. The sounds on this are top notch! Beatwave certainly kicks tail in the sound department. A few more tweaks will have other grid based apps running for cover. Definitely give this a try.

Ive played with 10-12 programs/app/etc and really find this one to be on top of its game. The easiest to yse if you have any idea what composing should sound like,beginners actually learn very quickly, looping is a little shakey,but it is automatic and you can do anything at ease. The note tone presets keep the composer in check with what sounds right,using octaves and limiting keys for some presets,while still allowing a whole span to access. The songs are limited to 4 "sounds" (in columns)which us as easy as a drum,synth,bass,lead or any mix/same blend of each. The sample/sounds they have are classic and you can play around to get anything you want. Ive made 5 minute songs,upto ~18rows(I still must check that on myself),maxed speed at 300bpm, pan left and right speakers,flanked tge heck out of overdrive echo synths and saved at least 1hr of recorded music to my soundcloud. This app lets you put this music in 3 formats to use, its amazing. The support is fast,one problem Ive had? solved in 2 days. I use it everyday,since Sept 2015 now. Highly recommended app. By the way previous reviewer,the undo button is there:hold down on screen,notice the arrow for more on the cut/paste selection,undo is right there for ya.

Powerful with multiple layers within multiple tracks. Audio recording feature is a great addition too.

About a year ago I got this app and immediately got really into it. Now I make beats and have made quite a bit of money off of it , Search Don Cancel on YouTube. The app is simple but complex at the same time. I recommend this to anyone that has some experience in music because you will have a lot more fun with it . But try it out even if you dont know anything about music. That being said I consider myself a master with beatwave. Don Cancel

I have been looking for an app just like this for months its simple,free and it has great sounds too! I really recommend this app.

Ive sent several email over the past few months with a few simple questions and they still havent gotten back to me. Not to mention that if youve grown attached to the demo version, then dont buy this. They changed a few key instruments and made them sound terrible.

I love this app. The amount of music you can make is infinite but there is a problem. You cant change tempo or octave on the fly. Im trying to recreate a song in a techno cover and in order to do so I need to change my octave in one measure and then speed my tempo up by 100 in a single beat. What would be amazing is if you could queue changes like that and more on individual notes. Of course, tempos would have to change the entirety of the song but if you could change it for one group and then change it back in the next that could work. But image queuing one note on an instrument to be panned to the far left and then the next note panned to the far right in the blink of an eye-or the same with effects. This would up-the-ante in terms of the complexity of music able to be created

I am in LOVE with the Beatwave app and I have made so many beats but I cant seem to upload to soundcloud or send it to any type of messenger or social media on my phone and sadly I dont have a laptop. Can anyone help?

Came back to say again how much fun this is. Figured out you can do long tracks and layer them and making really sick beats underneath is fun. Easy to input and set up 4 tracks. Comes with enough to get started and quick, useful tutorials. Has some free downloads and editable demos, and lots of composing features, but also great libraries where you can buy individual instruments. But a bargain is to get the whole package with FX and updates plus all libraries.

A great groove maker! I love fashioning grooves with this sequencer and jamming along with my synth or guitar.

I enjoy this app, and ill leave more reviews as I get more ideas on what should be added. I think itd be cool if we could make the bass deeper? As in bass/drums, make the bass longer, and be able to change it in each layer. You know how rap songs today have that beautiful bass, and can change it while on the same layer. <-- have that too •We should also be able to change octaves in each layer, and not have the octave in the first layer change. •You know how throughout each layer you have to use the same four sounds? Would you be able to make that where I can use different sounds for each layer?

So much fun and a lot of good sounds and drums to play with. I could play with this for quite a few hours.

Ive had this for all but 30 minutes and Im hooked! Sooooo many things to try so little time. Thumbs way up!
